The only thing I can do is use prompts. But I would like to edit the user interface from the app using the old interface that’s also used in the video that you can see at 0.50:
How to enable the “old” editor? (I’m just comparing multiple uibakery competitors and it’s a lot of time to go trough all documentation to find this option)
Or is the normal edit mode only available after i pay for uibakery?
I’m sorry for the confusion. We have recently released the AI mode, so all the newly signed-up users can only see this mode.
I can enable the mixed mode on your account. Please confirm if I can proceed for you.
Cheers!
No problem at all! However keep in mind that it could be confusing for others too, because you can see the “old” mode everywhere in the documentation.
Of course, that would be very helpful.
(I just changed my email address here on Discourse so that it’s the same that i use on uibakery. io.)
I just got this error, that’s why there’s a space between uibakery. io
Thank you for the recording. I can see that you are trying to edit an app that was originally created by AI, so this will not be possible with drag-and-drop. You need to create a completely new app to build it with low-code. To edit the AI-generated app, you can use the chat or through the code: Build with AI | UI Bakery Docs
I’m not from the UI Bakery team, but I can tell you that your proposal is difficult to do. All the components and parts of an app in the drag-and-drop editor are specifically made for that environment. They are designed to be deterministic, whereas the AI-generated apps could possibly contain any code the user or AI wrote.
If the code must contain predefined methods, variables, hooks, etc. to be “converted” for the drag-and-drop editor, I could see it working, but that is still prone to errors.
Plus, we must consider that it would be a significant amount of work implementing this feature, for which, depending on the already work-in-progress and planned features, the company might not have the resources right now.
