Hi. Is it possible to create modals, pop-ups or manipulate position or z-index? I’m currently trying out the free version, so is this possible on a paid plan?

There are will be pop-ups available in the next 1-2 months 
Regarding the remaining elements you’re asking about – they’re not available yet, not in our roadmap either (for now!).
